Here is a selection of shots from the House of Fraser Autumn Winter 2013 home brochure I worked on earlier this year. I art directed and managed the production of the photography which varies in style throughout the brochure, dependant on the brand and trend.
Brands featured in the brochure include Linea, Pied a Terre Home, Casa Couture, Shabby Chic, Living by Christiane Lemieux and Biba.
For the Linea brand we included three main trends which I directed mood board style photography for: Graphical Rhythm, 21st Century Romance and Natural Elegance.
Graphical Rhythm is a contemporary, brightly coloured, graphic based trend featuring geometric prints… When planning the creative for this trend I chose to shoot this product in a warehouse setting that was painted white to give the pieces a fresh, modern feel. 21st Century Romance is a feminine trend with a modern a twist… Lace features heavily and there are pops of rich colour and sumptuous textiles set against furniture that has a darker edge, such as a black metal bed. Natural Elegance is an interiors trend based upon a soft, neutral colour palette featuring floral embroidery and elegant upholstered bedroom furniture. I chose to shoot this trend in a room with panelled walls to provide a traditional yet stylish backdrop to this pretty, calming homeware trend.
The brochure can be picked up in House of Fraser stores and many of the shots are currently being used on their website.
